We’re gathering in St. Lucia for Ailene’s Celebration of Life at Sea on Sunday, December 12, 2027—a chance to reconnect, tell stories, laugh, and honor Mom in a way that feels true to her. This page will grow with the plans as each remaining detail is confirmed.

Bay Gardens planning update
A comfortable home base
Bay Gardens Resorts has provided preliminary group pricing for a five-night stay in mid-December 2027. The most economical plan includes breakfast; room-only rates are not available.
- Bay Gardens Inn, Hotel or Marina Haven: $230 per room, per night for one or two guests, including breakfast.
- Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa: $350 per room, per night for one or two guests, including breakfast.
- Guests will be able to reserve and pay for their own accommodations through a family booking link once the plans are finalized.
- All-inclusive may be added for $100 per person, per night. Tourism accommodation fees apply separately.
Our gathering on the water
A Celebration of Life at Sea
From Rodney Bay Marina, our family will board the Mango Tango and sail along St. Lucia’s beautiful coastline toward the quiet waters near Anse Cochon. Surrounded by sea, sky and the people who loved her, we will celebrate Ailene’s life through music, memories and flowers before saying our final farewell and scattering her ashes in a place as bright and beautiful as she was.
- The private four-hour gathering will depart from Rodney Bay Marina, with transportation planned from our Rodney Bay-area hotel.
- We will travel to the peaceful waters near Anse Cochon for Ailene’s ash-scattering ceremony and floral tribute.
- Family and friends will share memories and listen to a memorial playlist through the onboard sound system.
- Drinks and light finger foods are planned for guests throughout the gathering.
- A swim and snorkel stop may be included before or after the ceremony, depending on the final itinerary and the atmosphere of the day.

Is the sailing date final?+
Yes. Ailene’s Celebration of Life at Sea is planned for Sunday, December 12, 2027. The departure time and final itinerary will be shared once they are confirmed.
Do I need to book a room now?+
Not yet. Bay Gardens has provided preliminary group rates, but the property and dates have not been finalized. We will share the individual booking link when it is ready.
Are the prices final?+
No. These are planning estimates from quotes received in August 2026. Rates and availability may change until reservations and deposits are confirmed.
Is the RSVP a commitment?+
No. This first RSVP helps us estimate the number of travelers, rooms, and catamaran seats. You can share where you are in your planning.
Why should I RSVP early?+
Early responses help us estimate hotel rooms, transportation and catamaran seating more accurately. It is completely fine to answer “maybe” and update Stephanie later if your plans change.
Can children attend?+
Families are welcome to share their needs in the notes field. Final catamaran details, including any age guidance, will be confirmed with the charter.
